Proposal Submission Procedure

All eligible sub-project proposal submitting entities will be required to submit a preliminary proposal (PP), i.e., an abridged version of the complete proposal for the disciplines/subjects mentioned before. But Self-assessment and University-wide Innovation proposals should be submitted only in complete proposal (CP) formats.

It is expected that majority of the sub-project proposals will be submitted by the Departments. Proposals prepared by the Departments will be a cooperative effort involving support of its academic staff and it must be owned by the department as a whole. The sub-project proposal has to be approved in the meeting of standing Academic Committee of the Department and it must be signed by the Chairperson/Head of the Department and the minutes of the meeting of the Academic Committee must be attached to the proposal.

For a sub-project proposal prepared at the Faculty level, it must be approved in the Faculty meeting and signed by the Dean. Similarly, a sub-project proposal prepared by the Center and/or Institute must be approved by the Governing Board/Board of Studies of the Center/Institute and bear the signature of the Director of the Center/Institute.

Sub-project proposals on Self-assessment will normally be prepared at the Department or/and Faculty level. University-wide Innovation proposals will be generated at the top management level. A faculty staff or an official of the university might be designated as the Manager of such sub-project. Both Self-assessment and University-wide proposals will be screened by the UPSC as other sub-project proposals and will be endorsed by the university.

For collaborative sub-projects involving two or more universities, the proposal shall be submitted by the university owning the Sub-Project Manager (SPM).
